Fanci Freez -Landmark walk-up burger joint -1402 W State St, Boise, ID 83702 home of a wierd ass huckleberry blue cheese burger.  Great Sign. Raspberry lemonade has real raspberries.  Yum.
Trolley Stop –off Warm Springs Road – great breakfast with a pile of potatoes as large as your head.
Roques — State Street — the best tacos. The taco lunch plate comes with 3 small tacos, rice and beans. The pork is the best, served with a delicious verde sauce. Roques wins hands down for Mexican in Boise.
the Boise market has a very nice meat counter and fresh fish.  Stay away from the fish at the Co-op.

Westside Drive-in -1929 W State St, Boise, ID 83702 Home of the Ice Cream Baked Potato, where they take vanilla ice cream, dust it with cocoa powder and then fill it with whipped cream.  Plus classic burgers and unique “finger steaks” with  “tater gems”, the former being deep fried battered steak.
