There is an unusual chain of pubs and hotels located throughout Oregon and Washington.  They are owned by the McMenamins Group.  One of these, the Kennedy School is a brew pub that brews its own beer, a movie theater and Inn all in one.   You can check the website for locations and showtimes.

Portland is home to the only museum in the country dedicated solely to advertising. The American Advertising Museum, 211 Northwest Fifth Avenue, (503) 226-0000,  $5; open Wednesday to Sunday noon to 5 p.m.

Helvetia Tavern-10275 NW Helvetia Rd, Hillsboro, OR 97124-Tops the list of classic burgers in Portland, Great looking onion rings or get a half and half with half fries, half rings.

Humdinger Drive in-8250 SW Barbur Blvd , 10 am to 9 pm. The kind of joint this place exists for.   Only problems, the fries are crinkle cut and the onion rings are tempura style and a little oily.

Each year in September.they hold the Pendleton Round Up, a rodeo festival.

During the old west times, they have an underground area that was carved out in Lawless times for safe passage between businesses.  In time, the tunnels became filled with Saloons, stores, and brothels and they have tours of it.
